LAWLESSNESS IN THE NIGERIAN UPPER CHAMBER

The sad incident of lawlessness that occurred today in the National Assembly precisely in the Sanate chamber, the supposedly highest law making body in the country speaks volume of our democratic idiocy.
From the smuggling of thugs to the Hallowed Chamber, the lawlessness that transpired, the seizing of the Mace which is the symbol of law and order in the country as well as the dramatic exit of the thugs through the presidential enttance who are sponsored by a Senator and possibly backed by higher influential people is as a result of  things are not the way they suppose to be.

According to national discourse, the following are some of the factors that lead to this shameful act that made Nigeria as whole as a laughing stock in the comity of nations include.

1. The SAK mantra as a result of failure in the past government that lead us to haphazardly elect idiots into sensitive offices.

2. The face-off that exist in the APC led government between the Executive and the Legislative arms of government in which the blame should be on both parties who refused to let things go and move on.

3. The reckless and carefree abandonment of ethics and rules of engagement by our armed forces who take sides instead of the the path of justice and defend the institutions not people.

4. The unpatriotic disposition of our people in general which was partly fueled by sentiment, nepotism  and sectionalism.

5. Failure of my party the APC leadership for keeping our house in order which give room for the opposition to infiltrate, disrupt and ridicule the Change agenda of the APC which left this country apart from partly SECURITY and Electricity (which become very expensive) WORST THAN WE MET IT.

Any sensible and genuine member of the APC and Nigerian will attest to that.

WAY FORWARD
1. The rule of law must be implemented fully irrespective of whose Ox is Gored.

2. The APC has a chance to put our house in order by allowing transparency and fairness in the coming congresses and National Convention which is coming in a couple of weeks, so as to restore confidence and orderliness in the party or else I am afraid history will repeat itself.

3. The divisions that exist in the APC must be resolved using give-and-take modus operandi or else, I am afraid, it will consume us all.

4. The face-off and unnecessary fight for supremacy between the Executive and Legislature must stop in the interest of National Development. The resultant effect of this madness is FAILURE in the era of 'CHANGE' where survival is only for the fittest of the fittest. As a result of un-passed budgets, sabotage, poor macro-economic planning, unbearable hardships, lawlessness, incompetence, arrogance and general nonsense.

5. And finally, WE MUST RESIST AND STOP ELECTING IDIOTS and RECYCLING expired MEN OF YESTERYEARS  who are uses 70s solutions to face the challenges of 21st Century.
