LAWLESSNESS IN THE NIGERIAN UPPER CHAMBER

The sad incident of lawlessness that occurred today in the National Assembly precisely in the Sanate chamber, the supposedly highest law making body in the country speaks volume of our democratic idiocy. From the smuggling of thugs to the Hallowed Chamber, the lawlessness that transpired, the seizing of the Mace which is the symbol of law and order in the country as well as the dramatic exit of the thugs through the presidential enttance who are sponsored by a Senator and possibly backed by higher influential people is as a result of  things are not the way they suppose to be.  According to national discourse, the following are some of the factors that lead to this shameful act that made Nigeria as whole as a laughing stock in the comity of nations include.  1. After 2015 election,  dwindling oil prices,  insurgents Displaced Millions though the are disarrayed,  Lots lids of cans of worms blown off in ONSA,  NNPC, NIMASA, customs etc etc ========================== One year ago we wrote this and revisited it now. =========================== WILD STORM AHEAD A cold shudder ran through my spine late Friday night, after INEC’s announcement of the timetable for the 2015 elections. It literally means the end of the Jonathan administration. In this transition period, the government will certainly become lame duck. My fear is that we are transiting to nowhere.
